British Prime Minister Andy Burnham to visit Kyiv
UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham will visit Kyiv on Monday. He is expected to co-chair a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing and meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
First foreign visit
According to Deutsche Welle English, the trip to Ukraine will be Burnham's first foreign visit since taking office as prime minister in July. At the end of July, Zelenskyy became the first international guest Burnham received in the United Kingdom.
During the trip, Burnham is expected to reaffirm Britain's support for Ukraine's defense against the Russian invasion.

Independence Day and security
The visit coincides with the 35th anniversary of Ukraine's independence from the Soviet Union. Ukraine is calling on Western allies to increase deliveries of air defense systems and step up pressure on Russia, the aggressor state, which, according to DW, has intensified attacks on civilians in recent weeks.
Also on Monday, the UN Security Council plans to hold a special meeting on Ukraine.
