President Erdogan to visit the US for the 81st UN General Assembly — Anadolu Agency
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will begin a four-day visit to the United States on Sunday to take part in the UN General Assembly High-Level Week in New York. This was reported by Anadolu Agency, citing a statement by Turkish Communications Director Burhanettin Duran.
Address at the General Assembly
Erdogan is due to address the 81st session of the General Assembly on Tuesday, the day the high-level general debate opens. The theme of this year’s session is: “Restoring Trust, Transforming Governance: An UN That Works for All.”

Planned meetings
During his stay in the United States, the Turkish president is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, as well as heads of state and government from various countries.
In addition to General Assembly events, Erdogan is expected to attend a number of events in the United States involving representatives of Turkish citizens living in the country, Turkish-American business circles, and think tanks. World leaders gather annually in New York for the UN General Assembly, one of the main platforms for international diplomatic discussions.
