President Trump launches AI-powered America.gov portal in the US — The Hill

US President Donald Trump launched the America.gov website in Washington, which uses artificial intelligence to help Americans find information about and navigate federal government services. The Hill reports on the launch.

The website features a search bar where users can ask questions about obtaining specific services. According to the portal, all answers are based on official government websites and include links to primary sources.

Trump introduced America.gov during an event at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington. He said the project had been developed since the first days of his second presidential term. The president also thanked Airbnb co-founder Joe Gebbia, who heads the National Design Studio and is the first-ever chief design officer of the United States.

Integration of government agencies

According to Trump, the new resource is intended to become a single access point for information instead of searching through tens of thousands of government websites, rules and more than 10,000 forms. He also said that the service was created with privacy and security in mind. According to him, users' personal data will not be collected or stored.

America.gov states that at the beginning of 2027, the platform is planned to enable users to fill out forms, submit applications and make renewals, including enrolling in Medicare and applying for a passport. During the event, Trump signed an executive order directing federal agencies to integrate their services with the new website.
