Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Qatar on a visit

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on a working visit. The trip comes amid an escalating security situation in the Middle East and aims to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries, particularly in the fields of defense and energy.

This was reported on the president’s Telegram channel.

The main focus of the visit is cooperation in the field of air defense. Ukraine, which has been repelling massive drone and missile attacks for four years, can offer Qatar its unique experience in combating Iranian “Shahed”-type drones, which have recently become a serious threat to the Gulf states as well.

“Real security is built on partnership, and we value everyone and are open to supporting anyone who is ready to work together for this cause,” the president emphasized.

As a reminder, prior to this, Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Saudi Arabia on March 26, where he held a series of important meetings.

Earlier, Zelenskyy stated in an interview with Le Monde that the country is working on exchanging modern interceptor drones for air defense systems from partners in the Middle East.

Zelenskyy also called for the confiscation of oil from tankers subject to sanctions.
