Putin announced that 90% of Russia's damaged oil refineries have been restored
Russia has reportedly restored 90% of its oil refining capacity damaged by Ukrainian attacks. According to Vladimir Putin, about 10% of Russian refineries’ capacity remains damaged at this time.
Putin stated that Russian companies have restored most of the damaged oil refining capacity. At the same time, he said, some refineries are still undergoing repairs.
“We have only 10% of our refineries left to repair, but it wasn’t enough to prevent another strike on the ones that had already been repaired,” Putin said.
The Russian dictator also claimed that on the night before his press conference, there were alleged attempts to attack three oil refineries. According to him, these strikes failed to hit their targets due to enhanced security at the facilities.
“Just last night, there was another attempt to strike three oil refineries. It didn’t work because they’re already protected,” Putin said.
At the same time, he acknowledged that even a reinforced defense system does not guarantee that no strikes will hit their targets.
According to Putin, to protect critical infrastructure, Russia must coordinate the efforts of local authorities, law enforcement agencies, and the Ministry of Defense.
