Russian oligarch Malofeev accused Biden of embezzling $10 million
Russian oligarch Konstantin Malofeev claimed that former U.S. President Joe Biden and officials in his administration were allegedly involved in the seizure of $10 million from his U.S. bank accounts.
According to the businessman, some of these funds may have been transferred to Ukraine.
Malofeev claims that the money was invested in the U.S. before sanctions were imposed against him. He accused Biden, former U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, and U.S. Department of Justice officials Vladislav Weinberg, Tein Ren, and Scott Claffey of involvement in the seizure.
According to the oligarch, approximately $5.4 million of the total amount was allegedly transferred to Ukraine, while the remaining funds were distributed among other participants in the scheme.
In Russia, the Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case regarding this matter under the article on embezzlement. Malofeev hopes to secure the return of the money through a Russian court and has stated that he intends to use it to support the Russian military. However, the allegations cited are based solely on Malofeev’s own statements.
The Russian FSB stated that there was an attempt to assassinate oligarch Konstantin Malofeev, the “sponsor of the Russian World.” The security services allegedly foiled the assassination attempt and blamed the “Russian Volunteer Corps” for it.
Russia may have used a new 40-kilogram warhead during the strike on the South Bridge in Kyiv. According to the ISW, Russian forces may be using cumulative charges on long-range drones to strike large, fortified targets.
