Sabina Taasa argued with NAZA directors in Delft — Jerusalem Post

In the Dutch city of Delft, Sabina Taasa, whose husband and son were killed during the Hamas attack on October 7, argued with directors Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor during a screening of the film NAZA. She asked the filmmakers where the killing of her husband and son was mentioned in the film, the Jerusalem Post reports.

Reaction during the screening

According to the publication, Taasa's husband Gil and her son Or were killed in the October 7 attack, while her other children were injured. She traveled to the Netherlands with representatives of the Israeli organization Ad Kan to tell the audience about her family and express disagreement with how the film depicts the war.

According to Ad Kan, in a video circulated by the organization, some attendees shouted that they did not want to listen to Taasa and also expressed condemnation. Geert Wilders, founder and leader of the Dutch Party for Freedom, criticized this reaction. He later said that he had received Taasa at the Dutch parliament.

Attempt to show documentary footage

The film NAZA is dedicated to the war in the Gaza Strip and the harm inflicted on the Palestinian population during the conflict. In Israel, the film was criticized for its portrayal of the war, the actions of the Israel Defense Forces, as well as the October 7 attack and Hamas' actions.

At the beginning of the screening, Ad Kan CEO Avichai Shorshan, who accompanied Taasa, attempted to use a portable projector to show a film containing documentary footage of the October 7 attack on the cinema screen. According to the organization, viewers tried to prevent this, and an argument broke out in the venue.
