Kadyrov's son has launched the production of energy drinks that his father previously called poison

A company linked to Adam Kadyrov, the third son of Chechnya’s leader, has begun selling energy drinks under the brand name “K13.”

The new product has appeared on the market despite the fact that Ramzan Kadyrov had previously publicly criticized such drinks, calling them “poison” that is harmful to health.

According to investigative journalists, the “K13” brand is reserved for Adam Kadyrov’s inner circle.

The young man became widely known in the fall of 2023 after a scandalous video surfaced showing him, at the age of 15, beating Mykyta Zhuravel in a detention center; Zhuravel had been detained for burning the Quran.

The production and sale of the new drink, whose design almost completely copies the well-known Monster brand, is handled by a front company for the Kadyrov family.

An application to register the trademark was filed in March by “United Company,” which was founded just a month earlier.

The official owner of the company is listed as Islam Visaliev, who appears in databases as an official in the Grozny District of Chechnya.

In April, he also registered a separate legal entity named “K-13,” which is directly listed on the energy company’s official website.

Both companies hold licenses for the production, wholesale, and retail sale of beverages.

This indicates the Kadyrov family’s intention to monopolize this market segment in the republic, using administrative resources and questionable promotional methods.

Even Ramzan Kadyrov himself was enlisted in the product’s advertising campaign, indicating a shift in his “ideological” views for the sake of the family business.

Last week, he posted a video in which he personally tastes the beverage he had previously branded as “Satanic.”

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov received a new award—an order for his contribution to the development of Russia’s cement industry.
