Kadyrov's son was awarded a medal following a fatal car accident and road incidents
Adam Kadyrov, the son of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, was awarded the “90 Years of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Traffic Police” medal. At the same time, earlier this year, he was involved in a serious traffic accident that resulted in fatalities, and later released a video showing him committing gross violations of traffic rules.
Kadyrov Sr. announced Adam’s award. He also received an anniversary medal.
Moreover, the Kadyrovs—father and son—presented orders, medals, and certificates of honor to others on the occasion of the anniversary of the Traffic Police’s founding.
At the same time, according to media reports, in late June, Adam Kadyrov recorded a video while driving in which he was traveling at twice the speed limit within a built-up area and veering into oncoming traffic.
Kadyrov is building a boulevard in Grozny in honor of his father in the Putin-named district.
