The son of Mango's founder has been charged with his father's murder

Spanish police have arrested Jonathan Andik, the eldest son of Mango founder Isaac Andik, who died in the winter of 2024 in the mountains of Catalonia. He is currently suspected of intentionally killing his father.

This was reported by Euronews.

Today, law enforcement officials brought Jonathan Andik to the court in Martorell for questioning.

Isaac Andik, 71, founder of the world-famous clothing brand Mango, died while in the mountains of Catalonia. At the time of the tragedy, his son Jonathan was with him; Jonathan stated that his father had allegedly accidentally fallen into a ravine.

Initially, the case was classified as an accident, as Jonathan was the only witness and no obvious signs of violence were found.

Later, investigators began to have doubts about the son’s testimony. According to police, a number of inconsistencies were found in his statements, after which the case was reclassified as a homicide.

Law enforcement officials suspect that the businessman may have been deliberately pushed off the cliff.

Spanish media report that for several months, investigators analyzed the family’s correspondence, the movements of family members, and their relationships.

According to preliminary data, there was a strained relationship between Isaac Andik and his eldest son over business and inheritance issues.

Spanish law enforcement has opened a criminal investigation into the suspected murder of Isaac Andik, founder of the well-known fashion brand Mango, who died in December 2024 during a family outing in Catalonia. Initially, the 71-year-old billionaire’s death was considered an accident, but police are now investigating the possibility of murder.

The Polish National Prosecutor’s Office has referred a criminal case against Russian citizens Igor and Irina R., who are suspected of spying for Moscow, to a court in Sosnowiec.
