The U.S. is already establishing control over the Strait of Hormuz — Trump
The United States is stepping up pressure on Tehran, forcing the Iranian leadership to seek ways to negotiate on Washington’s terms.
This is reported by C14 News Israel.
U.S. President Donald Trump is convinced that economic and military pressure on the Islamic Republic has yielded the desired results.
According to the American leader, the current situation in Iran is so dire that the country effectively has no choice but to engage in dialogue.
“He replied that he believes they really want to reach an agreement. They are, in essence, begging for it. He said that anyone who had been defeated would want this,” C14 News Israel anchor Libby Alon quoted the president as saying.
Washington has also taken active steps in the strategically important Persian Gulf region, where the main oil transport routes are located.
When asked directly about the possibility of establishing U.S. control over the Strait of Hormuz, the U.S. president gave an affirmative and confident answer.
“Yes, of course. It’s already happening,” the U.S. president emphasized, pointing to the increased presence of American forces in this narrow sea passage.
A key aspect of the White House’s Middle East policy remains the strategic partnership with Jerusalem, which is currently at its peak.
The US president stated that he maintains “very close” coordination with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding shared challenges in the region.
As a reminder, Trump stated that Iran had offered him the position of supreme leader.
Trump also mentioned the possibility of seizing Iranian oil and the island of Kharg.
