Spain's maritime rescue service rescued 82 people from an inflatable boat 131 kilometers from Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. After arriving at the port of Arrecife, it was reported that three people had died aboard the boat, while another person was in critical condition.
Near the village of Tuejar in eastern Spain, an aircraft dropped water on a forest fire. According to the photo roundup, the fire began on September 15 and covered about 880 hectares.
