Trump was outraged by France's ban on U.S. aircraft flying over its airspace

U.S. President Donald Trump reacted sharply to France’s decision to close its airspace to American military cargo planes. The planes were en route to Israel, but France did not allow them to fly over its territory.

This was reported with reference to Trump’s post on the social media platform Truth Social.

"France did not allow planes carrying military cargo to Israel to fly over its territory," Trump emphasized.

He also made it clear that he considers Paris’s position “very unhelpful” in the context of the war with Iran.

"France has proven itself very unhelpful regarding the 'Iranian Butcher,' who was successfully eliminated! The U.S. will remember this," the American president concluded.

Trump commented onthe possibility of redirecting weapons intended for Ukraine to the Middle East.

Earlier, The Washington Post reported that the Pentagon is considering redirecting weapons intended for Ukraine to the Middle East, as the war in Iran is depleting the U.S. military’s stockpiles of some of its most critical ammunition. According to the publication’s sources, the weapons that could be redirected include air defense interceptor missiles.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that U.S. weapons intended for Ukraine under the PURL mechanism will not be redirected to the Middle East.
