Trump Has Decided to Produce Patriot Missiles in Ukraine — Zelenskyy

Ukraine has specific agreements in place regarding the issuance of licenses to manufacture missiles for the Patriot air defense systems. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made this statement on September 25, adding that Donald Trump had made a final decision on the license.

 

The head of state made these remarks during a conversation with journalists.

“There are specific agreements in place. During our last meeting, President Trump emphasized that he had made a final decision: Ukraine will receive licenses to manufacture Patriot missiles,” he said, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.

As a reminder, Ukraine is negotiating with Raytheon regarding the production of missiles for the Patriot system.

The U.S. has agreed to transfer Patriot missiles from Germany to Ukraine.

To ensure that Ukraine’s energy system gets through this winter without problems, we need 100–120 Patriot missiles each month to protect it from Russian ballistic missiles.
