The Central Bank of the Russian Federation has authorized trading in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT on Russian exchanges

The Bank of Russia has added Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Tether (USDT) to the list of cryptocurrencies that may be admitted to public trading on Russian exchanges.

Only the most liquid crypto assets will be available to retail investors. At the same time, a limit has been set: through a single intermediary—a broker, crypto exchange, or management company—investors will be able to purchase such assets up to 300,000 rubles per year.

Qualified investors will be able to purchase cryptocurrencies admitted to trading without any set limit.

Before conducting any transactions, all investors must pass a special test and familiarize themselves with the risks of investing in crypto assets.
