Golf tournament in Ghana concludes UK-Ghana investment summit — MyJoyOnline

In Ghana, a golf tournament hosted by the UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce (UKGCC) and Ecobank Ghana PLC concluded the three-day 2026 UK-Ghana Trade and Investment Summit. The event, titled Teeing Up for Growth, brought together investors, business leaders, officials, development partners and UKGCC members.

According to MyJoyOnline, the summit was aimed at moving from intergovernmental discussions to concrete investments and long-term industrial projects in UK-Ghana relations.

UKGCC Executive Director Adjoba Kyiamah said the tournament was not only a sporting event but also a platform for strengthening business ties established during the summit’s three days. According to her, successful business partnerships are based on trust, confidence and continuous engagement.

The summit programme also included policy discussions, business matchmaking sessions, presentations of investment opportunities and the launch of the Trade Resource Centre. The golf tournament was intended to allow participants to continue informal communication outside official meeting rooms.

Ecobank Ghana PLC’s Head of Marketing and Brand, Regina Ofori, said supporting the tournament aligns with the bank’s strategy of promoting business development and regional trade. She stressed the importance of cooperation among financial institutions, investors and companies to unlock Ghana’s economic potential.

The summit was supported by GCB Bank PLC, PwC Ghana LTD., the UK government-funded Ghana Jobs for Economic Transformation programme, Fidelity Bank Ghana LTD., Ecobank Ghana PLC, Vivo Energy Ghana LTD. and other companies and organisations.
