Lebanon reports school demolition and Israeli strikes in south — Anadolu Agency
Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency reported the demolition of a private school in Houla in southern Lebanon, as well as air and artillery strikes on a number of localities in the region. As Anadolu Agency reports, citing the agency, Israeli troops planted explosives in the building of a private school in Houla, in the Marjayoun district, and blew it up. The agency also reported the burning of homes in the locality.
Strikes on localities
According to the Lebanese agency, Israeli artillery shelled Khiam and repeatedly struck Tallousa and Bani Hayyan. Aircraft allegedly attacked Bani Hayyan twice and also struck Kfar Tibnit in the Nabatieh district in two waves.
The outskirts of Mayfadoun and Zawtar al-Sharqiya came under intense and concentrated artillery fire, according to these reports. Large explosions were also recorded in Aitaroun and Tallousa. In the Tyre district, artillery reportedly shelled Mansouri and Majdal Zoun.

Explosions in Mansouri
Earlier the same day, several powerful explosions occurred in Mansouri, after which white smoke rose near residential areas, the agency reported. Tremors from the explosions and loud sounds were felt and heard in Tyre and surrounding villages. According to the agency, Israeli troops had earlier blown up most of the public school in Mansouri, leaving only a small part of it intact.
On June 26, Lebanon and Israel signed a framework agreement in Washington mediated by the United States. It provides for the gradual withdrawal of Israeli troops from Lebanese territory and the deployment of the Lebanese army in areas vacated by Israeli forces.
