Flood in Nepal washes away bridge between Syangja and Gulmi districts — Kathmandu Post
In Nepal, flooding on the Kali Gandaki River washed away a road bridge connecting Mirmi in Syangja district and Harmichaur in Gulmi district. The destruction occurred on Sunday, September 27, 2026.

According to the Kathmandu Post, the bridge was suitable for motor vehicle traffic and crossed the Kali Gandaki River. It connected Mirmi in Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-7 of Syangja district with Harmichaur in Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-1 of Gulmi district.

Consequences of the flood
After four days of continuous rain, the water level in the Kali Gandaki rose. Floodwaters first damaged the structure and then washed it away. The bridge collapse disrupted travel and transport links between Syangja and Gulmi districts. The Kathmandu Post publication is dated September 27, 2026.
