In Germany, a Deutsche Bahn employee fell off a train

In Germany, a Deutsche Bahn security officer fell from a train traveling at a speed of about 120 km/h during a confrontation with a passenger.

The incident occurred on the evening of July 17 on the stretch of track between the cities of Offenburg and Karlsruhe. According to the investigation, a verbal altercation broke out during a ticket inspection. Two security officers were called to the scene.

During the altercation, the train doors suddenly opened, causing the 26-year-old employee to fall out. The cause of the doors opening is currently under investigation, and the train itself has been sent for a technical inspection.

According to media reports, there is a theory that the mechanism for the step under the door may have been damaged during the conflict, but this has not yet been officially confirmed.

The victim is in critical condition. Law enforcement officials have detained a 36-year-old German citizen suspected of involvement in the incident.
