A drone manufacturing plant caught fire in Poland; police suspect arson

On the night of August 31, a fire broke out at a drone manufacturing plant in Poland. The fire started around midnight; there were no injuries.

Law enforcement officials are investigating the possibility of arson. Surveillance cameras captured suspicious activity near the facility, which may help investigators determine the circumstances of the fire.

CCTV cameras captured a masked man on the factory grounds, and clothing and a backpack were found nearby.

Local police reported on the fire at the drone manufacturing facility in Skarzhysko-Kamennaya.

“Today, around midnight, a security company operator notified law enforcement that an alarm had been triggered on the premises of a private company. The report concerned a building located near a warehouse where electronic components were stored. Upon arrival, it was confirmed that a fire had broken out inside the building. After the fire was extinguished, police secured the scene and launched a detailed investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident. Police officers are conducting an inspection, collecting evidence, and reconstructing the sequence of events that led to the fire. A fire safety expert will also be on site today; his findings will help determine the cause of the fire,” the statement reads.

Law enforcement officials added that no one was injured as a result of the fire (the facility was not operating at night). One of the premises was damaged by the fire.

Meanwhile, Radio ZET reports that a warehouse and a production facility belonging to a UAV manufacturer were on fire.

Five fire crews spent two hours bringing the fire under control.

The police department in Skarżysko-Kamienna told reporters that arson is among the possible causes of the fire being considered.
