In the US, Congresswoman Tlaib calls for ending complicity in Israel's actions in Gaza

In the United States, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib called on the US administration to end what she described as complicity in Israel's military actions in the Gaza Strip. The Democrat representing Michigan published a statement on social media platform X following reports of an attack on a preschool in the Palestinian enclave.

Tlaib's statement

In her post, Tlaib called the events in Gaza genocide and stated that there had been no ceasefire. According to her, children continue to suffer the most from military operations: they are killed by US-made bombs, while those who survive experience long-term psychological trauma.

The congresswoman also stated that the US administration must end its complicity in what she called horrific acts of ethnic cleansing.

Reports about the preschool

As Anadolu Agency reports, Tlaib attached a video to her post that, according to the agency's description, shows an Israeli forces raid on a kindergarten. Approximately 200 children, according to these data, were trapped inside the building under fire.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, more than 73,000 Palestinians have been killed in the Strip, while more than 174,000 others have been injured. The ministry also stated that violations of the ceasefire agreement, which has been in effect since October 10, 2025, and which it attributes to Israel, had resulted in the deaths of 1,369 Palestinians and injuries to 4,627 people as of Saturday.
