Hungary condemned Russia's missile attack on Ukraine
Hungary condemned Russia’s latest massive missile attack on Ukrainian territory, as well as the incident involving an X-101 cruise missile that violated Polish airspace. Officials in Budapest emphasized that such actions pose a threat to the security of the entire region.
The Hungarian side also expressed concern over the violation of Polish airspace by the Russian missile and called for preventing further escalation. The statement underscored the need to maintain stability and security in Central Europe.
It emphasized that Hungary wishes to assure the Ukrainian and Polish peoples “of our full solidarity.”
“We strongly condemn the recent Russian attacks on western Ukraine, which have once again resulted in the deaths of many innocent people. Thursday’s violation of the airspace of Poland—a NATO and EU member state—by a missile is a cause for deep concern,” the Hungarian minister emphasized.
According to her, these events “remind us all of the urgent need to end hostilities.”

Hungary has once again stalled negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
Hungary has officially established the National Asset Recovery Agency, which will be responsible for tracking down and recovering state funds that were illegally misappropriated in previous years. The new agency is one of the key anti-corruption reforms of Prime Minister Péter Magyar’s government following his victory in the parliamentary elections.
