Russia has introduced a system of selling fuel at gas stations by license plate number due to shortages and long lines

In Russia’s Kirov Region, authorities have begun restricting fuel sales by implementing a system that serves vehicles “by license plate number.” This decision was made following a sharp increase in lines at gas stations.

The governor of the Kirov Region faced a wait of several hours in line for fuel, after which the region decided to change the service procedure at gas stations.

“The governor of Russia’s Kirov Region stood in line for fuel for 7 hours (not himself, but rather the governor’s driver), after which he introduced a ‘by license plate number’ service system. This is already the fifth region where such restrictions have been introduced following accusations against ‘speculators’ and ‘panic-mongers.’ The first was the Oryol Region in early July,” Andriushchenko noted.

According to him, the Kirov Region has become the fifth Russian region where similar restrictions on drivers have been introduced due to fuel supply problems. The first, he said, was the Oryol Region, which introduced similar measures in early July.

Petro Andriushchenko, head of the Center for the Study of the Occupation, reported on the situation.

As a reminder, the government of the Novosibirsk Region of the Russian Federation—where a state of heightened readiness has been in effect since July 8 due to a fuel shortage—has recommended that employers switch employees to remote work and reduce fuel consumption.

Earlier, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin supported the idea of creating a network of small oil refineries in the country to increase fuel supplies to the domestic market.

As a reminder, Zelenskyy told Trump that Moscow is not a suitable venue for negotiations due to the danger posed by drones.

Trump stated that the U.S. may allow Ukraine to manufacture missiles for the Patriot system.

Also, U.S. President Donald Trump criticized Spain ahead of the NATO summit in Ankara, declaring his intention to sever trade relations and halt visits between the two countries.
