Video: A drone crashed onto the grounds of a police station in Turkey

In the Turkish province of Trabzon, on the Black Sea coast, an unidentified object—preliminarily believed to be a drone—crashed onto the grounds of a police station. Four police vehicles were damaged as a result of the crash.

The object crashed into the courtyard of the Arsın District Police Station, located on the Black Sea coast, at approximately 7:00 p.m., damaging parked vehicles and shattering windows in the police building and neighboring establishments.

The moment of the crash was captured by surveillance cameras.

Law enforcement officers cordoned off the area, and forensic experts and bomb disposal teams examined the debris.

Trabzon Governor Tahir Şahin, who visited the scene, stated that the object is preliminarily believed to be an unmanned aerial vehicle, but its exact nature and origin have not yet been determined.

Şahin noted that an investigation into the incident has been launched. It is currently unclear where the object came from or why it crashed.

The incident occurred following a series of security concerns related to drones along Turkey’s Black Sea coast, although there is no evidence that the object found in Trabzon is linked to the Russia-Ukraine war.

This was reported by Turkish Minute.

Turkey has reported record-high smoking rates.

As a reminder, earlier, the interior ministers of Turkey and Bulgaria, Mustafa Çiftçi and Ivan Demerdzhiev, agreed during talks in Sofia to expand cooperation in managing the shared border, combating illegal migration, human trafficking, and drug trafficking. The importance of this land border section has increased following Bulgaria’s full accession to the Schengen Area.

Turkey has completed 82% of the construction work on the large-scale Iyidere logistics port project in the province of Rize in the northeast of the country. Infrastructure work is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026, after which construction of the superstructure will begin.
