At the Gan Ha-Em Zoo in Haifa, a visitor damaged the side glass of the enclosure housing a Persian leopard. Following the incident, staff immediately activated the emergency protocol for the escape of a dangerous animal.

Fortunately, the leopard did not approach the damaged glass, and no one was injured.

Afterward, the man moved to the bear enclosure and climbed a tall tree, where he remained until the arrival of police, medical personnel, and relatives.

According to Israeli media reports, the intruder was a 25-year-old former soldier suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.

The management of the company that operates the zoo stated that this incident serves as a reminder to society of the thousands of military personnel with PTSD who need support and understanding.
