Success of the previous release

The new tracks also include Cleveland! — a song referencing the hometown of the singer's husband, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce. According to the publication, Swift wrote the new songs in Sweden, where she came to celebrate the album's success with producers Max Martin and Shellback.

The original album The Life of a Showgirl was released in October 2025 and set several records. All 12 of its songs simultaneously occupied the first 12 positions on the Billboard chart, while its first release week set a sales record for the modern music era, taking into account album sales and streaming.
