The wife of the head of the Chernivtsi Customs Office purchased an apartment in Pechersk
Nelia Gerasimova, the wife of Yuriy Gerasimov, head of the Chernivtsi Customs Office, purchased an apartment in the Pecherskyi district of Kyiv. The apartment has a floor area of 126 square meters. The details of the transaction and the property’s value have not been disclosed.
In January 2026, the wife of Yuriy Gerasimov, head of the Chernivtsi Customs Office, purchased a three-bedroom apartment in the Pecherskyi district of Kyiv and two parking spaces. At market prices, such property could cost around 13 million hryvnias, but the declared value turned out to be almost half that amount.
According to the real estate registry, in January 2026, Nelia Gerasimova became the owner of an apartment in a 14-story building on Panasa Myrnoho Street in the Pecherskyi district of Kyiv.
It is a three-bedroom apartment with an area of 126 square meters.
According to real estate listings, apartments of this size in this area can cost approximately $350,000–$400,000. At the January exchange rate, this would amount to roughly 15–17 million UAH.
At the same time, the price per square meter in this residential complex, according to market estimates, is at least $2,000–$3,000. That is, a 126-square-meter apartment could cost between $252,000 and $378,000.
In addition to the apartment, Nelia Gerasimova also purchased two parking spaces in a neighboring building. According to the realtor, in this area, the cost of a single parking space typically ranges from 1 million to 1.2 million hryvnias.
However, according to the source, the apartment may have cost the official’s wife 6.5 million UAH. This is significantly lower than the market value of similar housing in central Kyiv.
The two parking spaces were also purchased at a significantly lower price—70,000 UAH. At the same time, their market value could be around 2 million UAH.
The total value of Nelia Gerasimova’s purchases, according to official data, is approximately 6.7 million UAH. However, at market prices, the value of this property could reach approximately 13 million UAH.
Against this backdrop, questions arise regarding whether such purchases are consistent with the official income of the official’s family.
According to the 2025 declaration, Yuriy Gerasimov received over 1.2 million UAH in salary from the Chernivtsi Customs Office and nearly 294,000 UAH in pension. His wife, Nelia Gerasimova, declared nearly 2.9 million UAH in income from business activities, as well as other income, including salary, bank interest, and the sale of movable property. Ukrainian media had previously reported on these details from the declaration.
