In the Lviv region, the military purchased generators at a price that was over ₴18 million higher than the actual cost
In the Lviv region, a senior lieutenant is suspected of professional negligence during the procurement of gasoline and diesel generators for a military unit, which, according to the investigation, resulted in losses to the state of more than 18.6 million hryvnias.
According to the investigation, in late 2022, the military unit was purchasing generators to meet its needs.
It was then, law enforcement officials claim, that a series of violations occurred during the contracting process.
The investigation concludes that the official failed to conduct a proper market analysis and did not verify the current price offers from suppliers.

Expert examinations have established that, as a result of these actions, the state suffered losses of over 18.6 million hryvnias due to violations of public procurement legislation and improper performance of official duties.
