Fuel Prices on October 2: Where Gasoline and Diesel Are Most Expensive

As of October 2, 2026, the OKKO, WOG, and Socar gas station chains offer the most expensive gasoline and diesel in Ukraine. At the same time, most major gas station chains have not changed their fuel prices.

Over the past 24 hours, the cost of gasoline, diesel, and autogas remained unchanged at most of the largest gas station chains.

The only notable change was a price drop for A-95+ gasoline at the “Ukrnafta” network—its price fell by 2 UAH per liter.

Currently, the highest fuel prices are at gas stations in the OKKO, WOG, and Socar chains. Meanwhile, BRSM-Nafta and Ukrnafta traditionally offer some of the lowest prices.

The Ukrainian fuel market has seen significant fluctuations in recent months. After prices fell in early summer, gasoline and diesel rose sharply in late July. In August, the price increases gave way to stabilization, and wholesale prices for diesel fuel began to decline.

At the same time, the retail market reacts to changes in wholesale prices with a certain delay. Expert Mykhailo Gonchar explained this situation as follows:

“Prices rise quickly but come down much more slowly.”

Thus, as of October 2, the situation on the fuel market remains relatively stable, although the cost of gasoline and diesel varies significantly depending on the gas station chain.

On October 1, the largest gas station chains did not change their fuel prices. The average price of A-95 gasoline is 90.06 UAH per liter, and diesel fuel is 99.20 UAH.

At the end of September, a 3–4-liter pot of classic Ukrainian borscht cost about 153 UAH. Compared to the calculation from September 17, the cost of the dish has risen by more than 8 UAH.

On Ukraine’s domestic market, prices for onions have risen since the beginning of this week. Average wholesale prices are already 21% higher than at the end of last workweek.

A gradual increase in prices for imported medications is expected in Ukraine due to changes in the dollar exchange rate, rising fuel costs, and higher shipping expenses. This was reported by Oleksandr Komarida, chairman of the board of the European Pharmaceutical Association.
