Ukrainian forces eliminate record number of Russian occupiers in a single day — General Staff
Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Ukraine’s Defense Forces have reportedly eliminated 1,192,350 Russian soldiers, according to the press center of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As of December 17, 2025, estimated Russian losses from February 24, 2022, are:
- Personnel: ~1,192,350 (+1,730)
- Tanks: 11,427 (+6)
- Armored combat vehicles: 23,758 (+21)
- Artillery systems: 35,205 (+33)
- MLRS: 1,571 (+1)
- Air defense systems: 1,262 (+1)
- Aircraft: 432 (+0)
- Helicopters: 347 (+0)
- Tactical UAVs: 91,386 (+167)
- Cruise missiles: 4,073 (+0)
- Ships / boats: 28 (+0)
- Submarines: 2 (+0)
- Vehicles and fuel tankers: 70,361 (+179)
Special equipment: 4,027 (+1)
The General Staff noted that “data are being clarified.”
Meanwhile, in Kherson, Russian forces continue attacks on heat generation facilities, causing serious damage to the city’s infrastructure.
Earlier, in Kupiansk, occupiers continue to offer “very strong” resistance while Ukrainian forces carry out clearing operations.
