Photo: Enemy drone kills 15-year-old girl in Chernihiv region
On the night of March 12, Russian troops attacked the border area of Chernihiv region with unmanned aerial vehicles, resulting in the tragic death of a child.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
As a result of a drone strike in Koriukivka District, a large-scale fire broke out, claiming the life of a girl born in 2010 and leaving her parents with serious injuries.
The enemy strike hit a residential area of a border community where civilians live. After the drone fell, the fire quickly engulfed a private house and a nearby outbuilding.
Rescuers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, who promptly arrived at the scene, worked under difficult conditions.
Thanks to the professional actions of firefighters, the flames were localised and completely extinguished, preventing the destruction of neighbouring homes.
The most tragic consequence of the overnight attack was the death of the 15-year-old girl who had been inside the building.
The parents of the deceased child were also injured — they were urgently hospitalised with injuries of varying severity.
In addition to physical harm, residents of the community suffered severe emotional shock.
Earlier it was reported that in Zaporizhzhia region Russian forces attacked an evacuation vehicle with FPV drones.
Russian troops also struck a meat-processing plant in Kharkiv, leaving three women in serious condition.
