General Staff confirms strikes on the Slavyansk Oil Refinery
Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to carry out effective strikes against strategic facilities of Russia’s military-industrial complex and oil refining sector.
On the night of December 17, 2025, units of the Defense Forces, using Deep Strike capabilities, hit infrastructure at the Slavyansk oil refinery in the city of Slavyansk-on-Kuban in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
Explosions and a fire were recorded in the target area. The extent of damage to the facility is currently being clarified.
As of 2025, the Slavyansk refinery processes crude oil and condensate with a capacity of approximately 5.2 million tons per year and is involved in supplying the armed forces of the Russian occupiers.
Strikes were also confirmed on the territory of the Nikolaevskaya oil depot in Russia’s Rostov region. According to preliminary information, a fuel storage tank and a river vessel, Kapitan Gibert, were damaged.
In addition, as part of efforts to reduce the enemy’s offensive potential, a field artillery ammunition depot belonging to a unit of the Russian occupiers’ 101st Separate Logistics Brigade was hit in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region. The extent of losses is being assessed.
Based on the results of previous missions, damage inflicted on December 14 by Ukrainian strike UAVs to the R. Graifer drilling platform in the Caspian Sea has also been confirmed. The stationary platform hosting a processing and pumping module for extracted gas was damaged, resulting in the shutdown of all 14 wells, which had a total production capacity of nearly 3,500 tons per day.
The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue implementing measures aimed at ending the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
On the night of December 17, a new wave of drone attacks was recorded in Russia.
Earlier, airports in Moscow were shut down following drone attacks.
