Ukrainian Intelligence Disables Russia’s Last Rail Ferry in Kerch Strait
Ukraine’s military intelligence (HUR) said its special forces have disabled Russia’s last remaining rail ferry operating in the Kerch Strait.
HUR said in a Facebook post.
During the night of April 6, operatives from the Department of Active Operations carried out a drone strike that put the ferry Slavyanin out of service. It was the only vessel of its kind still used by Russia in the area.
The Slavyanin played a key role in supplying Russian forces in occupied Crimea, transporting fuel, weapons, military equipment, and ammunition.

HUR noted that in March, Ukrainian intelligence operatives had already disabled another Russian rail ferry, Avangard, and also damaged the Slavyanin. As a result, Russian forces have lost a critical logistics asset supporting their operations.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Defense Forces thwarted another attempt by Russian troops to cross the Bakhmutka River, destroying an enemy crossing before it became operational.
Fighters of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces also detected and destroyed an enemy communications antenna linked to the Russian Yamal-601 satellite.
