Major attack on Odesa’s Energy system: critical facility damaged
Russian occupying forces have carried out another targeted strike on the energy infrastructure of Odesa region.
The company DTEK officially reported the incident, highlighting the serious consequences of the attack. One of the key facilities in the regional energy network sustained significant damage.
According to energy officials, the site was targeted as part of a systematic campaign against the civilian population.
“This is already the 31st major substation in Odesa region operated by our company to be damaged by the enemy,” DTEK said.
The repeated nature of such attacks indicates the aggressor’s intent to destabilise the energy security of southern Ukraine.
At the impact site, significant destruction has been recorded, requiring a comprehensive recovery effort.
“The damage is extensive. Repairs will take a long time to restore equipment to operational condition,” specialists stated.
Currently, crews are clearing debris and assessing the technical condition of the surviving components of the substation.
Earlier, in the Sumy region, Russian forces attacked a railway station and also targeted civilian infrastructure with a drone, injuring children.
