Two people were injured in an attack by Russia in the Chernihiv region

Two people were injured in a morning attack by Russian drones on Koryukivka in the Chernihiv region. 

This was reported by Pavlo Miroshnychenko, head of the Koryukivka District State Administration, on Facebook.

As of 8:00 a.m., two people are known to have been injured—a 42-year-old employee of a local business and an 81-year-old man. Details regarding their condition are being clarified.

According to Miroshnychenko, the attack lasted from 4:30 to 5:10 a.m.

“Preliminary reports indicate that 18 UAVs struck three locations. These include a critical infrastructure facility and two enterprises. Nearby buildings sustained damage. Fires are currently burning at the impact sites. All emergency services are involved in addressing the aftermath of the attacks,” he noted.

Later, Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, clarified that two of the city’s enterprises were hit—a woodworking plant and a wallpaper factory.

“A 42-year-old victim suffered thermal burns. An 81-year-old man was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds. Both are in moderate condition,” Chaus reported.

As a result of the shelling, an energy infrastructure facility was destroyed, and a number of industrial enterprises and residential buildings were damaged. Work is ongoing at the impact sites to extinguish fires and address the aftermath of the strike.

Additionally, late on the evening of April 27, Russian forces again attacked communities in the Sumy region with drones. Air defense forces destroyed some of the drones, but others struck their targets, causing destruction.
