Russia attacked Dnipropetrovsk region with drones and artillery, causing damage

On the night of December 9, the Russian army carried out a series of attacks across three districts of Dnipropetrovsk region.

This was reported on Telegram by acting head of the Dnipropetrovsk Military-Civil Administration, Vladyslav Haivanenko.

The heaviest shelling was recorded in Nikopol District. The enemy targeted the city and its surroundings with heavy artillery fire and also attacked with FPV drones.

In Pavlohrad District, the occupiers launched strike UAVs that damaged local infrastructure. Enemy drones were also spotted in the Vasylkiv community of Synelnykove District, where the attack was accompanied by loud explosions.

Despite the scale of the nighttime strikes, there were no casualties or injuries.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces acted effectively: three enemy drones were shot down over Dnipropetrovsk, Haivanenko noted.

Due to the massive drone attacks, most of the city of Sumy was left without electricity.

On December 8, Russia struck Sumy with an attack drone for the third time in one day. Recall that Russia has been attacking Ukraine with Kinzhal missiles and Shahed drones, and Ukraine’s air defense has shot down over 50 targets.
