Russia attacked Ukraine with 80 drones; air defenses shot down 64
On the night of December 12, Russia once again attacked Ukraine, using 80 strike drones. Ukrainian air-defense forces managed to shoot down 64 enemy drones.

According to the military, from 18:00 on December 11 to the morning of December 12, Russia attacked Ukraine with 80 strike drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types from the following directions: Bryansk, Orel, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo (Russia) and Chauda, Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Crimea). About 50 of them were Shahed drones.
The air attacks were repelled by aviation, missile troops, electronic warfare units, UAV systems, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
Preliminary data shows that as of 09:00, air defenses had shot down or suppressed 64 enemy drones in the north, south, and east of the country. Impacts of 12 strike drones were recorded at 8 locations, and debris from downed drones fell in 3 locations.
“The attack continues; several enemy UAVs are still in the airspace. Follow safety rules!” the Air Force warned.
During the night of December 12, a DTEK substation in the Odesa region came under attack by Russian drones. The enemy also targeted a facility of another energy company.
As a result of the strike, energy infrastructure and several commercial facilities were damaged in the Odesa region.
That same night, a drone missile strike from Russia hit Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region, setting five residential buildings on fire.
