Russians Attack Fuel Tanker in Zaporizhzhia Region, One Dead and One Injured
On 13 March, Russian troops struck a fuel tanker in the Zaporizhzhia district of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, killing one man.
This was reported by the head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov.
“Russians attacked a fuel tanker with a drone near Vilniansk,” Fedorov said.
The vehicle sustained significant damage. As a result of the attack, a 56-year-old man was killed, while another man, aged 37, was injured.
The incident highlights the continuing threat to civilian infrastructure and vehicles in areas close to active hostilities and the need for heightened safety measures in territories affected by ongoing attacks.
This attack is one of many strikes targeting infrastructure and civilian transport in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast amid Russia’s ongoing aggression.
Earlier, the number of people killed after a Russian strike on a passenger bus in the Kharkiv Oblast rose to three. Law enforcement officers and emergency services are continuing to work at the scene as details of the incident and information about the injured are being clarified.
Russia may also launch a new massive missile attack in the coming days, according to the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian forces lost another 860 soldiers on the front line over the past day.
During the last 24 hours, Ukrainian forces repelled 122 enemy attacks along the entire front line. The most intense fighting was recorded in the Huliaipole and Kostiantynivka directions. The enemy used air strikes, kamikaze drones and artillery, while Ukrainian defence forces carried out systematic fire strikes against the occupying troops.
In the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed a Merlin‑VR reconnaissance drone.
