Russian attacks in Ukraine have claimed the lives of 13 people, and about 90 more have been wounded
As a result of Russian attacks on Ukraine over the past 24 hours, 13 people were killed and approximately 90 more were wounded. Euronews reported this, citing Ukrainian officials. Russia, the aggressor state, launched strikes on several Ukrainian cities overnight.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that four people were killed in the Kyiv region as a result of one of the strikes—a three-year-old boy and his grandparents. Later, another fatality was reported as a result of a separate strike on civilian infrastructure.
In Kharkiv, Russian missiles struck a high-rise residential building in the Saltivsky district. According to Oleg Synehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, two people were killed and 13 others were injured.

At least six deaths were also reported following strikes on other frontline cities, including Sumy, Kherson, and the Donetsk region. In Odesa and the surrounding region, according to Oleg Kipper, head of the regional administration, eight people were injured after an attack involving dozens of missiles and drones.
Zelenskyy called on partners to strengthen Ukraine’s defenses and impose new sanctions, which, he said, should prevent Russia from producing ballistic missiles. He also emphasized the need for anti-ballistic systems, interceptor missiles for the Patriot system, SAMP/T, NASAMS, and HAWK air defense systems, and F-16 fighter jets.
Meanwhile, authorities in Russia’s Belgorod region reported that five people were killed and about two dozen others were wounded as a result of strikes by Ukrainian drones. The Ministry of Defense of the aggressor state, Russia, also claims that it shot down 153 Ukrainian drones overnight, including over Crimea—which is temporarily occupied by Russia—as well as over the Black and Azov Seas.
