Fire at the oil refinery in Yaroslavl

Meanwhile, Mikhail Yevrayev, governor of Russia's Yaroslavl region, the aggressor state, said that a Ukrainian drone attack damaged an oil refinery in Yaroslavl. A fire broke out at the facility and was later extinguished. The extent of the damage to the refinery remained unclear at that time.

The plant in question is YANOS, located about 250 kilometres northeast of Moscow. It belongs to Slavneft, which is jointly controlled by Rosneft and Gazprom Neft. The facility has a capacity of about 300,000 barrels of oil per day, or 15 million tonnes per year. According to Reuters industry sources, after the August 28 attack, the plant halted processing at two of its three primary oil processing units.

Authorities in Russia's Krasnodar Krai also reported a fire at an industrial facility after drone debris fell. According to them, there were no casualties, and the blaze was quickly extinguished.
