A Russian football club changed its flight route due to a drone attack

An aircraft carrying the Moscow-based football club FC Dynamo Moscow was forced to alter its planned route and land in another city.

The emergency change of course was caused by the threat of drone attacks on the capital of the aggressor state. The incident occurred while the Russian club was returning from its winter training camp held in the United Arab Emirates.

Due to restrictions imposed on Moscow’s airspace, the charter flight was unable to land at its intended destination in Moscow. Air traffic controllers redirected the aircraft to the airport in Saint Petersburg to ensure the safety of the passengers.

It is worth noting that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have reportedly carried out drone attacks on Moscow involving dozens of UAVs. In addition, Ukrainian drone strikes on Moscow have been occurring on a near-daily basis.
