Syrskyi reports on the length of the front line at the beginning of February
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that the active length of the front line at the start of February is approximately 1,200 km.
The situation on the front remains difficult, he said during a closed briefing for journalists, according to Glavkom.
“The situation on the front remains challenging. The enemy continues offensive actions along the entire length of the contact line, with varying intensity. The active front line is about 1,200 km. The depth of combat formations is increasing. The development of unmanned systems is causing combat lines to expand not just along the front, but in depth, reaching 15–20 km,” Syrskyi noted.
According to the commander-in-chief, the occupiers are focusing their main efforts on the Pokrovske, Ocheretyne, and Oleksandrivka directions.
“There is also a concentration of forces and assets on the Kramatorsk direction, particularly toward Kostiantynivka. Active combat continues on the Lyman direction. The intensity of hostilities depends in part on weather conditions,” he added.
Syrskyi also mentioned that the second stage of the corps system reform in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is ongoing, with tangible results already achieved.
He reported an increase in activity among Russian occupiers along the front, and noted that mobilized personnel will take exams after training.
