Woman injured in Russian shelling of Kherson

Around 10 a.m. on April 9, Russian forces shelled the center of Kherson, injuring an 89-year-old local woman who was on the street. 

This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration on Telegram.

“Around 10 a.m., Russian occupiers shelled downtown Kherson. An 89-year-old woman on the street was hit by the enemy strike. She sustained an explosive injury and shrapnel wounds to her leg,” the report stated. Emergency medical teams provided on-site assistance to the victim.

Earlier, around 6 a.m., in the village of Mykilske, Darivka community, Russian forces attacked a 71-year-old man with a drone. He was diagnosed with a concussion, explosive trauma, and a closed traumatic brain injury. The man was hospitalized in moderate condition.

According to the administration, medical care was also required for a 48-year-old woman and a 9-year-old boy who were injured on April 7 in a Russian airstrike on the village of Stepanivka. They were diagnosed with explosive injuries and acute stress reaction and were prescribed outpatient treatment.

In addition, Russian forces struck Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region, damaging a local enterprise.

A Russian drone attack in Zaporizhzhia injured one person and damaged a State Emergency Service vehicle.

 Russian forces also shelled Zaporizhzhia, resulting in burning vehicles, casualties, and injuries. Civilians were wounded in the city following aerial bomb strikes.

Meanwhile, Russian forces attempted to break through in Popivka in the Sumy region. In Zaporizhzhia, Russian FPV drones targeted an evacuation vehicle.
