Explosions heard in Kyiv as the enemy launches drones and missiles
On the morning of 13 January, the Russian Federation launched cruise missiles at Ukraine.
This was reported by the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Air Force.
According to the military, at 07:18 a high-speed aerial target was detected flying over Sumy region. Several more missiles were later recorded, and within minutes it became known that they were over Sumy and Poltava regions.
The Air Force subsequently reported that at least three cruise missiles were heading towards Kyiv region. At the same time, attack drones were detected in the area, air defence systems were operating in Kyiv, and explosions were heard in the city.
As of 07:37, air raid alerts covered Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kirovohrad and Kharkiv regions.

As of 07:37, the air raid alert map showed that alerts remained in Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.
The Russian military carried out the strike during the night of 13 January. At the same time, a drone attack was also recorded in the regional centre, which caused a fire at a children’s sanatorium. The death toll from a Russian strike on a Nova Poshta terminal in a suburb of Kharkiv has risen to four, with six people injured.
