Ukrainian Forces destroy 6,000 drones in Rostov and a command post in Kursk region
The Ukrainian Defence Forces struck a command post near the city of Sudzha in the Kursk region and destroyed a warehouse of unmanned aerial vehicles in Rostov region, eliminating around 6,000 FPV drones in total.
This was reported on the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s Telegram channel.
According to the General Staff, on the night of 9 February, a command post of a Russian Airborne Forces unit near Sudzha, Kursk region, was targeted and destroyed.
In addition, earlier strikes confirmed the destruction of a UAV warehouse in the Rostov-on-Don area of Rostov region, Russia.
“Preliminary data indicate that around 6,000 FPV drones were destroyed. Several other containers of drones were also damaged,” the report stated.
Meanwhile, on temporarily occupied territory in Kherson region, near the settlement of Novooleksiivka, the Defence Forces struck an enemy ammunition depot.
The full extent of the damage and final Russian losses are still being assessed.
The General Staff emphasised that systematic efforts to weaken the enemy’s combat capabilities will continue.
The Ukrainian forces also regained control over Chuhunivka in Kharkiv region.
Recall that Ukrainian drones are destroying enemy forces faster than Russia can replenish its army.
Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed the “Sontsepyok” system on Russian territory for the first time.
