Video: Russia strikes Mayaky bridge in Odesa region with cluster ballistic missile
Russian forces carried out a series of attacks on the bridge in Mayaky, Odesa region, over the course of a day. During the night, 10 Shahed kamikaze drones struck the bridge, and up to five more drones attacked it during the day. Later, the Russians launched a ballistic missile equipped with a cluster warhead.
According to the military source “Flash,” the released video clearly shows that the warhead was a cluster type.
Experts note that this weapon is not intended for destroying bridges but poses a deadly threat to civilians.
“A cluster munition will not damage the bridge, but it can kill civilians nearby or those standing in line,” the expert explained.
In Odesa region, border checkpoints on the Odesa–Reni highway remain operational, but traffic toward Odesa and the Moldovan border is disrupted due to the damaged bridge in the Mayaky area.
