The Armed Forces of Ukraine have received reserves and are holding back enemy assaults in the Pokrovsk direction
Ukrainian military personnel in the area of responsibility of the “East” operational grouping are successfully repelling enemy attacks — since the beginning of the day, 46 attempts to storm the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been recorded.
This was reported by Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Operational-Strategic Group of Forces “Dnipro,” during the national telethon.
Reinforcements that recently arrived in the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad agglomeration have played an important role in containing the enemy’s pressure.
Russian forces continue active assault operations in the areas of Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad, suffering significant losses in manpower and equipment. The occupying command has already committed all available operational reserves — an airborne division consisting of three regiments.
The enemy is attempting to break through the Ukrainian defense both with flanking strikes and frontal attacks; however, after receiving reinforcements, the Defense Forces are effectively countering these attempts.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the invaders have carried out 25 attacks near Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiia, and in the directions of Hryshyne and Novopavlivka.
Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 19 assaults, and combat engagements are ongoing. The Defense Forces control the northern part of Pokrovsk, and in the central districts of the city they are blocking the advance of enemy units.
It is recalled that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have delivered precision strikes on the logistics of the occupiers in Crimea and in the Donetsk region.
Additionally, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are laying additional routes to Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad.
