Gunther Werks has created the GXR-Evo road car based on the Porsche 911
Gunther Werks has created the GXR-Evo—a track car approved for public roads—based on the 993-generation Porsche 911. The company plans to produce only 15 of these cars, according to Motor1.
The GXR-Evo’s body features new carbon-fiber panels with a 12k 2x2 weave. Carbon fiber was also used to create a panel in place of the rear window, as well as aerodynamic elements, ventilation openings in the front fenders, and the rear side windows. The car features a large front splitter, canards, a massive rear wing, and a central aerodynamic fin.
The model is equipped with a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine developed in collaboration with Rothsport Racing. It produces 455 k.s. and is capable of revving to nearly 9,000 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a modified six-speed manual Getrag transmission.

The GXR-Evo weighs less than 2,400 pounds, or approximately 1,089 kilograms. For track use, the car is equipped with Brembo Pista racing brakes, center-lock wheels, custom JRZ suspension, a roll cage, carbon-Kevlar seats, and Schroth seat belts.
The interior features a Motec digital display, a removable steering wheel, a digital rearview mirror, an OMP fire suppression system, built-in pneumatic jacks, and a driver’s helmet cooling system. Each buyer is also promised a custom racing simulator from MySim, designed specifically for their GXR-Evo.
Motor1 initially states the car’s starting price as $1.35 million at the beginning of the article, but later cites a figure of $1.55 million. The publication also notes that the cost of a high-end MySim simulator starts at over $60,000.
