Russian forces launched 624 strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region, two people injured
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 624 strikes on 36 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. As a result of attacks on the Zaporizhzhia and Polohy districts, two people were injured.
This was reported on Telegram by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
According to the regional governor, 21 air strikes were launched on Samiilivka, Lisne, Liubytske, Veselianka, Zeleni Dibrovy, Orikhiv, Kopani, Huliaipilske, Vozdvyzhivka, Dolynka, Hirske, Preobrazhenka, Novoukrainka, Charivne and Verkhnia Tersa.
In addition, 358 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types (mostly FPV drones) attacked Novomykolaivka, Zarichne, Bilenke, Novoivanivka, Zhovti Kruchi, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Lukianivske, Mali Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, Zelene, Dobropillia, Pryluki, Shcherbaky, Charivne and Varvarivka.
Four strikes using multiple launch rocket systems were recorded in Stepove, Zaliznychne, Novodanylivka and Varvarivka. A further 241 artillery strikes targeted Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Lukianivske, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria, Zelene, Dobropillia, Pryluki, Charivne and Varvarivka.
Additionally, 50 reports were received regarding damage to residential buildings, vehicles and infrastructure facilities.
The situation in the region remains tense, and information regarding the extent of the destruction is being clarified.
Furthermore, on the afternoon of 3 March, Russian occupation forces struck the city of Chuhuiv in the Kharkiv region with a Geran-2 type unmanned aerial vehicle.
As previously reported, Russia attacked Ukraine’s energy infrastructure facilities, causing power outages.
Russian forces also attacked the Odesa region with drones, damaging port infrastructure.
