Russians attacked a residential building in Kostiantynivka with a drone, one injured
On Tuesday, 17 March, Russian forces attacked the city of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk region using an FPV drone. The strike hit a residential building directly, causing damage to the facade.
This was reported by Serhiy Horbunov, head of the Kostiantynivka city military administration.
As a result of the attack, a local resident was injured. The man made his way independently to a hospital in the nearby city of Druzhkivka, where he received the necessary medical care.
Horbunov stated that the security situation in the community remains extremely tense. “The enemy’s use of unmanned aerial vehicles makes being outdoors and inside private houses near the front line life-threatening,” the statement said.
The community leader urged residents not to neglect their own safety and to consider evacuating to safer regions of Ukraine.
Over the past day, 16 March 2026, border communities in the Chernihiv region were attacked by Russian forces.
During the same period, Russian troops struck populated areas in Kherson region. One person was killed and nine others were injured as a result of the shelling.
It should be recalled that Russia attacked Ukraine’s energy facilities, causing widespread power outages.
In addition, Russian forces attacked Odesa region with drones, damaging port infrastructure.
